		<description>I also noticed that google links their new versions of their mobile aps strongly to html 5, which surprised me somewhat. Yes, some features are more standardizzed accross platforms (all but msie) but at the same time they mostly seem to rely on the proprietary gears plugin, which becomes responsible for more and more functionality. That is strange b/c offline storage is one of thekey functions of html 5.

But all in all this is just a great improvement IMO. And I have been impressed by a demo what aleady is possible iin firefox beta, using video, javascript and so called web workers!</description>
