Dutch Web Companies

There are many web companies in the Netherlands and many of them aren’t well known. I’d like to help publicize them, particularly the small startups, so I’ve created this list (with early help from Robert Gaal). See a company that’s missing – maybe your own? Email me at peter@bubblefoundry.com.

2008-08-23: There have been some questions about why I include some companies on my list, as they aren’t ‘Web 2.0′ companies. This is not a list of Web 2.0 companies, but instead of companies whose primary (only) places of business are their websites. This means that I consider a company like Q-Fly a web company but I don’t consider KLM a web business, despite both selling airline tickets on their websites. At the same time, you’ll notice that I haven’t put Bubble Foundry on this list. I build websites for startups; I don’t have a website as my business. For this reason I exclude other similar businesses, except when they also run websites as businesses. Of course, they’re no hard-and-fast rule, so if you feel I’ve unfairly excluded you, just email me.
